      <image:caption>Pilates exercise is best known to most people as a series of mat-based exercises. However Pilates can also be performed on specialised equipment which uses springs to create resistance against the user's movement, thus targeting specific muscle groups. A session with Jo at The Human Movement Clinic uses the Reformer, Stability Chair and numerous smaller Pilates props allowing for hundreds of exercise variations. The studio also features TRX Suspension Training. Using the TRX in conjunction with Pilates will further challenge your core strength, balance, mobility and endurance for a total body workout. Finally, be assured that when you practice with Jo in the studio on a one to one basis you do so safely and with confidence. The studio benefits from plenty of fresh air flow and is thoroughly cleaned between appointments.       <image:caption>Jo has been teaching Pilates from her private studio since 2006. Following a number of injuries and illness during the early 2000s, Jo began practicing the Pilates method. Jo soon began to notice positive changes in her own health and fitness that no other form of exercise had achieved. This led to Jo completing her Full Certification with STOTT PILATES®, training in Toronto, Los Angeles and New York and achieving her TRX qualification from TRX Headquarters in San Francisco. Jo has more recently been recognised as a STOTT PILATES® Specialist in Athletic Conditioning, Group Matwork, Group Equipment, Rehabilitation, Golf &amp; Rotational Sports (Tennis, Padel, Pickleball) Conditioning, Interdisciplinary, Active for Life and Dance. Jo is also a TOTAL BARRE® Qualified Instructor and a CORE™ Qualified Instructor. Becoming a Fully Certified STOTT PILATES® Instructor has enabled Jo to teach others the benefits these specialised movements and exercises can have on one's health and fitness whatever one's age or ability.</image:caption>
